Captain’s Log

The war front looks to have cooled off for the moment, giving the medical staff an overdue break. I was hearing rumors of a revolt if one more medical shuttle came in and as luck would have it, that’s when the transports stopped. Small favors...

We still have a lot of wounded in recovery, though. Those numbers don’t look like they’ll be reduced any time soon. We’ll see what happens over the next week.

At docking bay one, the USS Maine will be finished with her resupply later tomorrow. There were several repairs needed also - mostly to shields and the forward phaser array. Engineering assures me that everything is back to 100% and they can head out again by Friday or Saturday.

Before they do, however, I was talking with Captain Lloyd about helping in a training scenario between the crews. Barring any new action on the front that will require his attention, he has agreed to participate.

Kepler has, to this point, been untested in combat situations - and in theory, it should remain that way. However, I don’t want the crew to be too complacent in a war zone. We’ll see what the next few days bring.
