Kepler Station

Welcome to Kepler Station!

Kepler Station is a Starfleet run station located at the outskirts of the Alpha Quadrant in a region known as The Expanse. Its primary mission is Research and Development (R&D). The crew consists of multiple project teams (up to 25 teams/projects in total), each of which has a focus on a specific discovery, scientific process, or other experiment. Kepler Station offers a controlled and secure environment to allow for these projects to be worked on without interference.

Depending on the project size, teams can be as small as two scientists or a much larger team with multiple specialists. Because of the sensitive nature of the research on the station, all personnel must have undergone a thorough security screening prior to assignment to the station. All project areas require security clearance to access and may be restricted to only members of the particular project team.

The crew size of Kepler is 150 persons, making it a rather small and close-knit community. The year is 2387, twelve years after the events of the Dominion War.

If this is your first time visiting Kepler, please take a quick look at the station. Also, the new player guide contains character creation rules. For any additional questions, contact us!

Kepler Station was started by Sarah Harrison in February 2009. In June of 2011, Sarah decided to retire from gaming and focus on her solo-writing. She handed the reins to Brian McLeod-Young at that time and he did a fantastic job running a multitude of characters until his untimely death in November 2016. May he rest in peace. To see previous missions, visit the old forums.

Today's Kepler Station is a "reboot" of the original concept. The regula station is used from the initial set up of the game; however, the mission is new, the crew is new, and you need not worry about the history of "old Kepler" in order to enjoy the game.

» Chat room transition notes

Posted on 01 Feb 2017 @ 9:35pm by Captain Lechsinska Antonik in Sim Announcement

Effective this evening our slack team will be disabled and we will now be fully transitioned to our new Discord Server! Discord allowing for better archives and once again having a publicly available chatroom was felt to be a good move for the community. Discord does allow the same desktop, web client, and mobile app availability as well as the ability to have room specific notification settings. When joining our new Discord server you will now see a channel/chatroom for each sim select the room by right clicking or tapping the name at the top (mobile app) and mute the channel if you'd not like to see that room. If you have multiple rooms muted you will be given the option to hide the rooms completely (visible by clicking a drop-down at the bottom of the room list).

Any questions please contact an Administrator or Moderator in the discord server.

There were very few civilians on the manifest. Captain Antonik had reviewed all available records in the weeks leading up to the station's completion. But there was only so much that one could learn from a biography on the computer. She wanted to meet the real people and the next…

Captain Antonik waited by the turbolift. Moving day was making the wait quite long. "Lieutenant," she greeted Gaelle Bertolucci. "Good day to you."

"Good afternoon, Captain," Gaelle replied, the brusque clip from her encounter with Lieutenant Allen still in her voice.

"Oh, why so dour? Turn that frown upside-down," the…

Mission: A Copernicus of Introductions
Posted on 03 Jan 2017 @ 8:08pm by Captain Lechsinska Antonik & Lieutenant Edward Allen

Eddie's uniform was a mess. Even with his coveralls on, the hydraulic fluids had seeped through them and mixed with a nice bio-neural gel stain he had earlier. He felt embarrassed to have such a stain on his jacket but there was no time to change. The captain would be…
